How to list on Zoopla without a letting agent
Private landlords can't list on Zoopla directly — Zoopla takes listings from letting agents and advertisers that use its listing feed. Connect Lettings is one of those advertisers: a landlord in England creates the listing in the Connect Lettings app and it is published to Zoopla for £20, with no agent and no commission.
How it works
- Add the property in the Connect Lettings app.
- Create the listing: photos, description (you can have one drafted for you), rent and the date it is available.
- Choose where it goes: ConnectListing (free) and Zoopla (£20). You pay for Zoopla before it is published.
- The listing goes live, and enquiries come straight to you in the app and by email.
- Edit it for free while it is live, mark it Let Agreed or Let when you find your tenant, or remove it.
Questions
Can a private landlord list on Zoopla directly?
No. Zoopla takes listings from letting agents and other advertisers that send them through its listing feed, not from individual landlords. Connect Lettings sends listings through that feed, so a landlord using the app can list on Zoopla without an agent.
How much does it cost to list on Zoopla with Connect Lettings?
£20 each time a listing goes live on Zoopla. Editing it while it is live is free. If you take it down and put it up again later, that is a new listing. There is no commission and no share of the rent.
What if Zoopla does not publish the listing?
You are refunded automatically. Once the listing is live the fee is not refundable, because the service has been carried out.
Where do enquiries go?
To you. Enquiries from Zoopla arrive in the Connect Lettings app, under Manage Enquiries and as an alert, and are emailed to you. You reply, book viewings and choose your tenant yourself.
Is it listed anywhere else?
Every listing can also go on ConnectListing, the rental portal run by the same company, free. Rightmove is not available yet.
